This past week I have upgraded to the HTC 3D. As a phone it is quite nice however I wanted protection to match the Otterbox iPad 2 Cases. Lucky for me the Otterbox HTC Sensation cases and HTC Evo 3d were released recently, so I was able to track down one for super protection.

In other news does anyone else find that bulky cases detract from the phone itself? Surely Apple could make a phone that is both sexy and does not require the use of an extra bulky case for protection. At the very least build the rubber/plastic into the case. Or something.

We Like the Roccat gear, it is durable unlike some other "pro" brands and reasonbly priced and specced.

Team up with a Roccat Kone gaming mouse and a Alumic Double-Sided Gaming Mousepad for a pro setup.

After the debacle in Australia, Europe has been struck by a similar problem, leading to late arrivals at work. Luckily I do not use my phone as an alarm so was not affected when it occurred in Australia at the start of October. I have however picked up an Otterbox Defender Series case recently and my phone is now drop, dust and pretty much everything short of submersion in water proof. It will still not wake me up correctly if I happen to use it as an alarm when daylight savings changes back next year, but at least it will be resistant to damage.

We have been fans of AOC monitors for a while, especially their low price range (starting with the AOC 936SW 18.5" widescreen LCD ). On Wednesday(27/10/2010) they announced a new line of 12.9mm thin, LED backlit monitors. RRP for the 19" will be around $195.00 and ramp up to the new 24" around $260.00. Price wise they look ready to compete (as AOC always is) with the big boys. Wait and see how they perform down the line when they are released and reviews trickle through in the coming months.

A wall mount built into the base is an added twist on top of the standard specs, however this appears to be at the cost of a VESA mount, making it more of a novelty than a functional feature.

Full press release after the break.
